Virtual Schools are more than likely to be Charter Schools ad get the same funding per pupil as regular schools...but they have building, classroom, transportation cost, etc. Should virtual schools receive the same per-pupil funding from governments despite having a much higher student-to-teacher ratio and no costs for transportation or classrooms?

Get help with your winter heating bill!
Need help paying bills this year? Then get to the Urban League of St. Louis, and sign up now for a program that helps you pay your winter heating bill.
Even though it's fall, it's not too late to sign up.
The program, which helps families pay heating bills, is available for this winter and is not just for homeowners. The amount of assistance you receive depends on your income, and people in subsidized housing may be eligible. This program is open for anyone in Missouri. If you search the internet, look for: Missouri Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP); or visit www.mo.gov/fsd/liheap.htm for an application.
The Urban League was asked last month by the Department of Social Services to help find households in need of this service. We at the NAACP encourage anyone who meets the requirements to take advantage of this program.
If interested, visit the website above or contact the Urban League; they will determine who gets accepted into the program.
Weather can be unpredictable. The LIHEAP can help you stay warm and comfortable this cold season.
Contact the Urban League or the Department of Social Service for more information.
